Thanks for stopping by and indulging me in this kinda random, but not really, post! So today is my birthday and I thought in the spirit of reflecting on my life that I’d share with you some of the things that make my life yummy and delicious:-). These ingredients bring me joy, smiles, fun, and just make me feel damn good! Some are silly, some are serious, some might be obscure unless you really know me…just stuff that floats my boat!
I’ve said before that birthdays are a perfect time to reflect on what you want to have more of in life (see below) and what you’d like to have less of (things you’re tolerating, people who are negatively taking up space, fears you’d like to move past, etc.). In a future post, I’ll tell you what things I’m working on having less of, but in the meantime, let’s focus on the “more” part! These are in no particular order, btw;-)
Ingredients That Make My Life Yummy

This list is NO means inclusive (I’ve got tons more!). Much like a gratitude journal, a yummy life list is unique to you and should be reflective of what you love and enjoy. Not only am I grateful for the ingredients, but I definitely want to have MORE of the things on the list.
Create your own list and add to it often! Let’s have some fun~please share some of your yummy ingredients…I can’t wait to read them!
Love,
Danielle
I have so many Danielle, but a few are:
A funny movie with a good friend
riding in an airplane
the smell of my son’s hair (he’s 7)
wearing my hubby’s shirts
my dad’s smile
doing something nice
chocolate (of course!)
my husband’s arms around me
God’s love
the beauty of an autumn day
the feel of the ocean water and wet sand
reading a good book
meeting people that inspire me — like you!
Have a wonderful birthday sweetie and thanks for the chance to reflect on the yummy life I have!
I love everything you wrote down. I also love an ordinary weeknight when everybody happens to be home around the dinner table and we laugh really hard. The teenagers especially keep me in stitches!
Oh those are all good, but I prefer merlot 😉
I’ll add:
That pair of jeans that fit just right.
The warmth of the sun on a breezy summer day.
A hug from one of my kiddos for “no reason”
Finding unexpected cash in a coat pocket, or the dryer 🙂
A great hair day!
One of my kitties curled up on my lap purring.
Making dinner with help from the whole family.
Faith and gratitude.
Notice how there is no snow listed? lol!
Happy Birthday!
