I’m always on the lookout for entrepreneurs who are creating memorable + resonant branding.
True real life examples of what makes a brand ‘sticky’ and cultivates a relationship between the brand and her Right Fit people. Brands that are telling stories, showing up authentically, and really owning the uniqueness of who they are and what they stand for in life + business.
Brands that get what I call the F.A.B.(c) stamp of approval
Freakin. Awesome. Brand
I recently attended a 3 day event for entrepreneurs hosted by Mara Glazer, Social Media + Marketing Strategist that she called The Next Big Buzz Event. From start to finish, Mara created an experience for her attendees. Let me highlight some of the ways that she created a raving fan experience + now has built even more brand ambassadorship for her business.
Fun videos for participants- Mara and her assistant created some funny spoof videos that emphasized her work hard, play hard and have FUN approach to life
Hints at surprises happening at the event
Holding the event in her hometown of Baltimore and embracing the city’s nickname of “Charm City”
A cocktail party complete with a signature drink (with a rock candy swizzle stick), crackers jacks + cotton candy, and a gorgeous rooftop view over looking Camden Yards; where we were then treated to an Orioles game after the cocktail party…complete with purple T-shirts (Mara’s color) that had her logo of “Cut the Crap and Win Big” on the back
A Bag of Swag
The shot glass sez: Get More Buzz (a clever play on getting ‘buzzed’)
Branding is a sensory experience and Mara did a great job with involving the 5 senses in her branding touchpoints.
The most important aspect of this brand experience…Mara herself.
She was accessible, approachable, and conveyed her personality through out the weekend (she was barefoot or in flip flops on stage).
She talked about the successes and the flops she has experienced.
She was gracious to her attendees and in sharing the stage with her guest speakers.
Mara talked about the role her family has played in her success and gave kudos to team
In other words she told a story and captivated her audience
Thorough out the event, Mara’s brand was constantly being reinforced and made for an experience that the attendees will not only remember, but will enthusiastically spread the word about.
Your brand should always be working for you…is yours?
