Well we are almost into a full week of 2009. This time last week everyone was excited with New Years Eve plans and a new year full of possibilities and options spread before us like a huge buffet of culinary delights.
Most people that I talked with seemed very glad to put 2008 in the books and move onto a brighter future. What a fantastic mindset! Quite frankly the only thing the past is good for is memories and learning.
My hope for you this 2009 is that you continue to hold tight to your goals and keep that positive mindset. Too often self doubt and negative thoughts start to creep into our subconscious and our energy starts to get blocked from achieving and receiving all the goodness out there.
Remember, it it NOT a natural state to feel angry, depressed, resentful or frustrated. When these emotions start to get in the way of you achieving your true potential, it’s like taking 2 steps forward and 1 step backward. Now is everything roses and light? No not 100% of the time. You are completely entitled to have a “Whine and Cheese Party” every once in awhile.
The key is that you practice the 80/20 rule to your mindset. Eighty percent of the time your mindset should be set in “positive” mode; twenty percent of the time you are entitled to throw yourself a “Whine and Cheese Party”! But GET OVER IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!! Do not wallow in the cheese; do it and move on!
Remember to align yourself as quickly as possible to your positive energy and take action; that will realign your mindset more quickly than anything else! This process takes some time, but you can do it! WHAT YOU FOCUS ON …..EXPANDS!
That’s all for today’s lesson~
